Spring Break Workouts

spring break workoutWhile you are enjoying yourself on spring break, you do not need to abandon your workouts altogether. Whether your vacation accommodations have a fitness center or not, you can still get a workout in away from home. If you cannot get out of your room, here are just a few simple moves you can do.

1. Lunges

Lunges are an excellent way to work your legs and your glutes. If there is enough room walking lunges, these can help make a move a little more interesting. If you do not have enough space for walking lunges, pulsing lunges are another way to switch it up.

2. Squats

Just like lunges, squats are another classic move to work your legs and your glutes. Make sure with both your lunges and your squats, as you bend, not to let your knees come past your toes.

3. Planks

My favorite way to work your core, this fantastic move works your whole body. Start off trying to hold it for at least 30 seconds, and work your way up from there.

4. Jumping Jacks

Get in a little cardio and get your heart pumping with a good old fashioned jumping jack.

5. Swimming

If you are staying somewhere with a pool, take advantage of the opportunity to work your whole body. Swim a few laps, and if you are feeling it, try your hand at water aerobics.
