recreational softball Can you believe spring training is almost over and opening day is next week already? I know I can't. Baseball season is here; for the pros, for the kids, and even for you. This is a great time of year to consider playing in a recreational baseball or softball league.

Getting involved with local recreational sports is a great way to get active while having fun and being social. Get some friends together and form a team, or join a team and meet some new people. You can find a variety of different leagues by scouting out local community centers and various groups and clubs in your area.

Look for leagues that meet your skill, comfort and interest levels. If you are incredibly competitive, you probably won't enjoy a non-competitive league with all skill levels participating. You can find all male, all female and co-ed leagues to participate in.

If baseball and softball aren't quite your thing, there are plenty of other recreational sports you can do to get out, get social and get fit. Try your hand at sand volleyball, kickball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee or whatever suites your fancy. Cost of participation may be on an individual or a team basis look at all of your local options and see what works best for you.

When you get stinky and smelly use StinkBOSS on your baseball gloves, cleats and hats.
